Strength training over 45 in London
Plain, steady strength work for adults over 45, in Chelsea, Kensington and Battersea. We test first, then build your plan.
Why strength matters after 45
Strength is what you use every day. It’s stairs, carrying shopping, lifting a bag into the boot, and getting up off the floor. Muscle and strength tend to fall as the years go by. Training them regularly is a good way to hold on to what you have, and to build more.
You don’t need to be fit to start. You start where you are.
We test first
I’m a personal trainer for people over 45 in London, and I don’t guess. We start with the Full 360. It looks at six areas: strength, mobility, balance, power, cardio and lifestyle. It takes 1 hour 20 minutes, one to one, in person, at Stars Gym in Battersea, or at any gym that suits you.
Your plan comes from what the tests show, not from a template. After a block of training we test again, so you can see what has changed and what comes next.
I explain every result in plain English, so you know what each one means and why your plan looks the way it does.
If you’d like a taste first, the free 360 Lite is a six-area check you can do at home in about 15 minutes.
Where we train
I work with clients in Chelsea, Kensington and Battersea. If you’re looking for a personal trainer in Chelsea, Kensington or Battersea, we can train at Stars Gym in Battersea, or at any gym that suits you, in a park, at your home, or online by Zoom or FaceTime. Strength training over 50 in London doesn’t need a lot of kit. We use what’s there and what suits you.

Questions
Do I need to be fit already?
No. We begin at a level that suits you today, and build slowly.
Do I need a gym?
No. We can train at Stars Gym in Battersea or any gym that suits you, in a park, at home or online. Tell me what’s easiest for you.
What if I have an injury or a health condition?
I can’t diagnose or treat. If you have a heart condition, new symptoms or an injury, check with your GP first. After that, I’m happy to talk through what’s sensible for you.
